It’s coming – Team BCPS Day only 10 days away!

Winter break might be over, but there’s more fun still to come!

Baltimore County Public Schools will celebrate Team BCPS Day on Thursday, Jan. 14. As part of the celebration, BCPS encourages all current, former, and future students, families, staff, volunteers, partners, and community members to show their support by participating in special Team BCPS Day activities.

“From wearing blue to sending photographs and submitting messages, there are a lot of ways to get involved in this year’s Team BCPS Day,” says Superintendent Dallas Dance.

The first activity continues a tradition started during the first Team BCPS Day. Team BCPS members who sport the school system’s signature shade of blue can share photographs of themselves with BCPS through social media with the hashtag #BCPSblue. They also can email their photographs to

Alumni and business partners also can get involved by writing or recording messages about how they are part of Team BCPS and what the school system means to them. These messages can be sent to BCPS through Twitter with the hashtag #BCPSblue or email at

And, to celebrate the publication of “Building the Future,” a book written by a BCPS employee about the school system’s history, BCPS is looking for class pictures and photographs of classrooms, schools, and school activities. Alumni and community members can share any pictures and photographs that they have through Twitter with the hashtag #BCPSblue or email at

With just a week and a half left until Team BCPS Day, there’s no time to wait – start thinking today about how you’ll show your spirit on Jan. 14!
