Mission Moment: Making music at BCPS Summer Music Camp

The BCPS SUmmer Music Camp performed at The Avenue at White Marsh.

Students with the BCPS Summer Music Camp performed at The Avenue at White Marsh.

Students in Grades 5-12 performed on Wednesday, June 27, at The Avenue at White Marsh with a variety of songs ranging from The Beatles to Andrew Lloyd Webber. They delighted family, friends, and passers-by at the beautiful outdoor venue.  Audience members sat beneath shady trees, on blankets, or kicked back in colorful Adirondack chairs tapping fingers, feet, and toes.

The students were part of the 31st annual BCPS Summer Music Camp. Students receive instruction in instrumental and vocal performance. Band, chorus, guitar, and orchestra are all offered. The camp offers countywide enrichment opportunities to provide students with additional experiences in order to develop performance skills.
