Calling all Education Foundation ambassadors! Please join us in welcoming our new BCPS teachers during New Teacher Orientation. You can help them get off to a great start. How? Well, you could …

  • Provide in-kind items like door prizes
  • Offer coupons
  • Provide giveaway items for welcoming gift bags.

And we’re open to suggestions, of course. Want to help? Call the Education Foundation at 443-809-8962 or e-mail Executive Director Deborah S. Phelps.

New Teacher Orientation takes place on Aug. 22-23. Hundreds of new teachers and school professionals will be welcomed to BCPS. This two-day introduction will provide resources needed to navigate through the system and become familiar with Baltimore County Public Schools.

The days begin bright and early at 8:00 a.m. and extend till 3:30 p.m. Once again, the event will held at Perry Hall High School at 4601 Ebenezer Road, Perry Hall.

Teachers will participate in equity and culturally responsive practice, classroom management, professional conduct, and teacher evaluation sessions. Orientation will conclude as participants will be addressed by the keynote speaker, Sean McComb, the 2014 National Teacher of the Year.

We wish all the new members of the Team BCPS community great success as they begin their new career and welcome them as they bring their talent, time and treasure to the schoolhouse.  Let them know how much they are appreciated by our community partners.
